A brief overview of the history of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania from its roots in England and Scotland to its independence from the English Ancient Grand Lodge in 1786. Topics will include Benjamin Franklin and the Moderns, and Ancient Lodge No. 2.

A graduate of Stanford University, John, a member of Lodge No. 2, Philadelphia, has been a tour guide at the Masonic Temple for 27 years. His presentation will provide a brief overview of the Freemasons who contributed toward achieving the United States’ independence, including Brothers John Paul Jones, Baron Von Steuben and Benjamin Franklin.
