Red Lion Lodge No. 649, located in Red Lion, PA, recently presented Lewis Jewels to many of their members. The Lewis Jewel may be worn by a Mason, if, at the time of his Initiation, his father was a Mason in good standing.

At the October Stated meeting of the Lodge ten jewels were presented to the brethren. Receiving their jewels were Bros. Samuel Laucks, Kayle Fry, S.W., Michael Keener, P.M., Earl Myers, III, P.M., Wayne Richard, Dave Richard, J.M.C., Russell Nash, S.D. and Charles Wilson, P.M. Absent from the picture was Michael Fry and Michael Sharp; these jewels were accepted by their fathers. Five of the living fathers were present to pin the jewels on their sons. Those fathers included, Bros. John Sharp, P.M., John Fry, P.M. Jack Keener, Earl Myers, Jr., P.M. and Luther Richard, J.M.C.

The jewels were presented by Bro. Ronald Aungst, R.W.P.G.M. and assisted by Bro. G. Scott Fair, D.D.G.M. for the 42nd Masonic District. “This is the largest group of Lewis Jewels that I’ve presented to date,” said Bro. Aungst. It was under his watch as Grand Master in 2007 that the Lewis Jewel was allowed to be worn by Pennsylvania Masons.

Lewis Jewels may be ordered from the Grand Secretary’s Office.
